Dr. Kunath

Dr. Eric Kunath, DDS, is a Board-Certified Endodontist with nearly 20 years of experience in the field. After graduating with honors from the University of Colorado Dental School in 1999, Dr. Kunath went on to specialize in non-surgical root canal therapy, retreatments, and surgical procedures such as apicoectomy. He is certified by the American Board of Endodontics and is known for his calming demeanor and chairside personality that helps ensure patients have a comfortable and pleasant experience during their treatment.
 
Dr. Kunath works closely with general dentists and other specialists to ensure the best possible treatment outcomes and is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, the American Board of Endodontics, and the American Association of Endodontists.
 
In addition to his private practice career, Dr. Kunath served for ten years as an officer, dentist, and endodontist in the U.S. Army, earning the rank of Major. He was stationed overseas, where he served as the Officer in Charge of the Bad Aibling Dental Clinic in Germany and as the Chief of Endodontics at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he mentored the 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program. His military service was recognized with multiple awards, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal, Overseas Service Medal, and Global War on Terrorism Medal.
 
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Kunath enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, who are his greatest joy. He’s thrilled to be back in Colorado, where he attended dental school, and looks forward to reconnecting with old friends. Dr. Kunath is an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves hiking, snowboarding, fly fishing, and walking his dogs. He also enjoys attending sporting events, whether it’s a day at the ballpark or ice rink with family and friends.
